 A. GRAMMAR
I/ Basic rules. 
 Active : S + V + O ....... 
 Passive : S + be + V3/ed ( past participle ) + . ( by + O ) 
 Tenses Active Passive

 Passive 
 S2 + be + V3/ ed (S1) + to V(S2) 
 to have V3/ ed (S2) 
 Ex. People say that he is a famous doctor. 
 It is said that he is a famous doctor. 
 He is said to be a famous doctor.

 let +O + Vo → be + allowed + to-infinitive
E.g. The manager made all the employees work at the weekend
 → All the employees were made to work by the manager at the weekend.
 She lets her son play games on Sunday morning.
→Her son is allowed to play games on Sunday morning.
 6/ Need
 Active Passive 
 S + need + to Vo + O → S + need + to be + V3/ed
 V-ing
E.g. I need to water some flowers
→ Some flowers need watering/to be watered
 7/ Imperatives 
 Active Passive 
 V + O + adjunct. → Let + O + be + V (P.P) + adjunct.
 E.g. Carry it home.
 → Let it be carried home.
