 I. Thì hiện tại đơn (Present Simple)
 a. Cấu trúc (form)
 Động từ thường To be
(+) I/ you/ we/ they + V (+) I + am 
 He/ she/ it + V(s/ es) You/ we/ they + are 
 He/ she/ it + is 
(-) I/ we/ you/ they + don’t + V (-) I + am not 
 He/ she/ it + doesn’t + V You/ we/ they + aren’t 
 He/ she/ it + isn’t 
(?) Do + I/ you/ we/ they + V? (?) Am I ?
 Does + he/ she/ it + V? Are we/ you/ they ?
 Is he/ she/ it ? - Diễn tả một sự thật hiển nhiên.
Eg:
The sun rises in the East and sets in the West.
(Mặt trời mọc ở phía đông và lặn ở phía Tây).
The earth moves around the Sun. (Trái đất quay
quanh mặt trời). - Sử dụng trong câu điều kiện loại 1:
Eg:
What will you do if you fail your exam? (Bạn sẽ
làm gì nếu bạn trượt kỳ thi này?)
He will pass the exam if he studies hard. (Anh ấy
sẽ vượt qua kỳ thi nếu anh ấy chăm chỉ học). c. Các dấu hiệu nhận biết (Signals)
Every: every day/ week/ month/ year

In the morning/ afternoon/ evening d. Cách thêm đuôi s/ es
– Thêm es vào các động từ kết thúc bằng ch, sh,
x, s, z, o, ss:
 watch-watches; miss-misses; wash-
washes; fix-fixes; buzz-buzzes; do-
